About Farrell Treatment Center
The Farrell Treatment Center is located in New Britain, Connecticut. The center is a program of Gilead Communication Services. Men can receive residential treatment for substance abuse, while men and women can both receive outpatient treatment.
Most insurances are accepted for outpatient treatment but their residential treatment is currently only accepting Medicaid. If you do not have insurance or are underinsured then the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services has provided funding so you can receive treatment.
The adult men in the residential program will be medically monitored. Most men in the program, in addition to substance abuse, may also have mental health or medical needs. You’ll attend treatment 30 hours per week. I like that you have the option to receive medication assisted treatment. Most of the patients who enter the program have been referred from withdrawal management or a hospital.
Their intensive outpatient treatment is for both adult men and women. You will attend treatment sessions three times per week for three hours per session. Their programs are focused on substance abuse but do address co-occurring mental health issues. The group sessions are gender based. I like that they offer day and evening sessions to better accommodate your schedule.
The general outpatient program is also for men and women. The difference is that you attend therapy between one to three hours per week. Everyone’s treatment plan will look different as all the plans are based on each person's individual needs.
