About Family Service of Rhode Island
Family Service of Rhode Island is a nonprofit behavioral health provider in Providence, Rhode Island offering outpatient substance use treatment and crisis intervention in addition to comprehensive mental health services.
With a trauma informed and what I believe is a non-judgmental approach, Family Service of Rhode Island connects clients to evidence based addiction care and wraparound supports that strengthen recovery and family stability.
Substance Use and Behavioral Health Programs
Clients can access outpatient counseling and group therapy for substance use disorders through the Recovery Services and Withdrawal Management program as well as psychiatric assessments and medication management for co-occurring mental health conditions.
Walk-in crisis services are available Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm and a mobile crisis team is available around the clock to provide in-person support, risk assessment, and stabilization.
For young adults ages 12 to 25 the Seven Challenges program offers evidence based substance use therapy in client or group formats delivered in outpatient, school based, residential, or community settings without pressure or a requirement of abstinence.
Telehealth sessions are available and I noted all programs can be tailored to meet the unique needs of BIPOC, Deaf, LGBTQ+, and veteran communities.
