About Family Preservation Services – Hendersonville

The Clarvida network now operates Family Preservation Services, and they still have a clinic for adults based in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Clarvida is part of a nationwide organization that has offered a variety of services for more than 50 years.

Hendersonville is located south of Asheville along Route 26. I saw that they’re close to several parks and national historic sites like the local Boys and Girls Club and Mud Creek.

Services for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Treatment

At the Hendersonville location, they provide several support services for individuals with mental health, substance use or co-occurring disorders. While they don’t offer a structured treatment program, these support services are crucial to restore community health and provide individuals with the necessary services to promote sustainable recovery.

They offer an assertive community treatment team (ACT), which is an evidence based model that provides a multidisciplinary team approach to mental illness and people who are experiencing co-occurring disorders, including substance use, medical problems or other high risk complications.

I’m impressed by how the intensive In Home Services help stabilize the living environment and promote reunification of the family when children or adolescents have been removed because of an unstable home environment.

Medication Management and Peer Support Options

Medication management helps stabilize and improve symptoms when prescriptions are used for mental health or substance use disorder treatment. They’ll check your dosages and make sure clients don’t become dependent.

Peer support services help you connect with others who have traveled the road you're traveling now, and the community support team provides direct support to adults who have complex treatment needs, including substance use or co-occurring disorders.
