About Family Pathways

Family Pathways is an outpatient mental health provider located in Butler, Pennsylvania with a strong focus on children, families and trauma informed care. This is not an inpatient or residential program. Instead, Family Pathways supports people where they are, whether that means coming into the office, connecting through telehealth or receiving services directly in the home or community. I really love that the overall approach is centered on strengthening families and improving emotional safety.

Flexible Services That Fit Your Life

Family Pathways offers outpatient therapy and psychiatric services for teens, children, young adults, adults and seniors. Telehealth and telepsychiatry make care more accessible for those who cannot regularly travel to the clinic.

One unique offering they have is the PATH program, which brings professional assessment and treatment into the home or community for individuals who are homebound or have mobility challenges. While the primary focus here is mental health, the program does support those with co-occurring substance use concerns as a part of a broader care plan.

Trauma Informed and Community Based

Trauma informed care is woven into everything Family Pathways does, with an emphasis on understanding life experiences rather than labeling behavior. Services include evidence based therapies like trauma focused CBT, parent child interaction therapy and trauma narrative work along with parenting skills support, co-parenting and healthy attachment.
