Office based opioid treatment (OBOT) is for clients with a current or past opioid use disorder. The program is flexible so clients can choose between different treatment activities. Some people avoid treatment due to group therapy, so I think some clients will appreciate that there is no mandatory requirement to participate in group therapy. Three-Phase Opioid Treatment Program
The treatment program comprises three phases. The first phase is usually weekly treatment, and phase two is biweekly. For each phase, clients complete specific treatment activities before progressing in the program. The first two phases are a minimum of three months each. Clients can receive a certificate of completion when they finish phase two.
The third phase is the maintenance phase. Clients enter this phase when they have progressed in their recovery to a point where they can sustain sobriety with minimal treatment (usually one or two sessions per month). Peer recovery specialists and counselors support and assist clients with all phases of treatment.
