Exodus Recovery Services (ERS) is a center for clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. ERS is on North 3rd Street in Harrisburg, Oregon in the beautiful Willamette Valley. They offer outpatient treatment with referrals to detox and inpatient treatment as appropriate. The facility accepts Oregon Health Plans (OHP), InterCommunity Health Network Coordinated Care Organization plans, and Medicaid. Additionally, they accept Pacific Source Health Plans.

Substance Use Disorder Treatment Near the Cascade Mountains

ERS treats substance use with evidence based therapies like group and individual therapy. The program is great for individuals stepping down from inpatient care. It’s also good for individuals who can’t commit to an inpatient program but need a structured program to help them stay on the road to recovery.

The program treats not only substance use but also co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, or post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I like the way they integrate the treatments. It’s a unique aspect of the program that they treat both conditions as primary instead of addressing them as separate issues. The treatment team feels that clients have an improved outcome by understanding how symptom management is impacted by sobriety.

Some people have mental health issues unrelated to substance use, and counselors treat those clients as well. One of the interesting issues they focus on that I think many clients will appreciate is employment related fulfillment. If you’re having mental health issues because you don’t feel your job is fulfilling, a counselor can help you process your feelings and come up with a plan.

Mandated Treatment for DOT Employees in Harrisburg, Oregon

One of the distinctive programs I noticed at this facility is the program for DOT employees with drug and alcohol testing violations. Substance abuse professional (SAP) services conduct an evaluation, testing, education, and follow up for employees. The program allows DOT employees with drug or alcohol issues to safely complete treatment before returning to a job that may be safety sensitive. Additionally, ERS provides court mandated treatment for clients with a DUI.
