About Longview Rehabilitation Hospital
Longview Rehabilitation Hospital is a physical rehabilitation center that addresses the needs of men and women who have experienced a stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation or other neurological conditions.
This state of the art, 36 bed inpatient hospital can be found on the northeast side of Longview, which is midway between Dallas and Shreveport. I found that the facility is close to several restaurants, churches and not far from the Lazy Z Mini Ranch.
Physical, Neurological Injury Associated with Mood Disorders
While addiction treatment is not offered at this facility, it is relevant to individuals who are recovering from a physical or neurological event. These injuries are often associated with mood disorders including depression or anxiety. Mental health care is as important to physical rehabilitation as is occupational therapy and physical therapy.
I appreciate that as a CARF accredited facility, they provide comprehensive rehabilitation services, which means they help meet your physical, medical and psychological needs. Your plan of care is tailored to your abilities, goals and tolerance for therapy. They stress a holistic approach to recovery within functional rehabilitation, but not as a psychiatric disorder treatment service.
Emotional and Psychological Support
While they do not address depression or anxiety as a standalone diagnosis, they do provide emotional or psychological support to help you adjust to life after a significant injury. After discharge, you may also benefit from traditional outpatient treatment or a more structured treatment environment to address pain issues or mental health conditions that have resulted from your illness or injury.
Addiction Treatment Programs
When you enter alcohol rehab in Texas, you’ll find support systems to help you on your recovery journey. Professional counselors, physicians, and other people in recovery provide services and support to help you make changes and learn how to enjoy a sober lifestyle.
While in a drug rehab in Texas, you’ll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you’ll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.
Levels of Care
Detox in Texas is your first step toward a drug-free future. During this phase, your systems are cleansed of all addictive substances. You’ll receive 24/7 care, which may include medication to alleviate withdrawal symptoms.
Inpatient drug rehab in Texas can last from a few weeks to mor than 90 days. During that time, you live at the facility and receive round-the-clock supervised care. Treatment typically includes individual and group therapy.
Outpatient rehab in Texas provides a means for addition treatment while you live at home. You will attend regular therapy sessions and typically maintain involvement with a 12-step program. Because it is tailored for each person’s needs, there is no set timeline for completion of outpatient rehab.
