About Eva Mae Recovery Hope, Inc.

Eva Mae Recovery Hope has two locations in Chicago, Illinois, including this clinic in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side. The clinic delivers outpatient treatment programs for mental health and substance use, including intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

I love that Eva Mae accepts both private insurance and public options like Medicaid and Medicare. You can contact them directly to ensure your coverage applies and to learn about the payment process.

Outpatient Care on Chicago’s South Side

If you need detox services or residential treatment, the clinic can provide referrals to appropriate providers. Here, they offer an IOP that provides at least nine hours of treatment spread over several days each week and general outpatient treatment.

The IOP administers structured therapy and activities, including individual and group counseling. General outpatient care is generally focused on individual therapy and includes helping you with important post treatment needs, such as housing and employment.

Methadone Maintenance Treatment in Three Phases

I noticed that the other part of the program at Eva Mae is MAT for those with opioids or alcohol use disorders. The program uses methadone and includes three phases, and all phases include ongoing outpatient therapy treatment.

The first phase is stabilization, where you adjust to the medication. This stage is approximately three months long. The second phase is working with you to determine employment goals and ensure you have safe and substance free housing. The clinic can also connect you to medical care if needed.

The final phase is maintenance. This is where you receive a lower level of treatment and may also get job referrals.
