Recovery in a Rural Setting

Floyd is a rural and scenic environment, where you’ll live in dormitory style accommodations. I like that they emphasize separating yourself from the distractions of urban life and focusing on nature and peace.

There’s a communal kitchen, dining spaces, meeting places and group rooms. You’ll have the opportunity for outdoor recreation and exercise opportunities.

Faith Based Addiction Treatment Program

A Christ centered approach is central to the addiction treatment program, which I think many clients will appreciate. You’ll engage in worship and a daily Bible study. Spiritual growth is integral to the program, and many of the groups are peer led by leaders who have also graduated from the program.

The facility is surrounded by the peaceful landscapes of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the area is renowned for its rural beauty. The connection to nature is also integral to the program.

Outreach, Service and Training

While in the program, you’ll participate in service projects and outreach in the surrounding community. Every individual must participate in occupational training to learn skills specific to a job. You’ll learn how to deal with relational and emotional problems like those you’ll face after graduating from the treatment program.

Former clients have expressed appreciation and gratitude for the personal and spiritual growth they experienced during treatment. Clients have also praised the transformative power of the program.
