About Drug and Alcohol Services of Beaver Valley Inc

The Drug & Alcohol Services of Beaver Valley (DASBV) is a county-operated outpatient program that supports individuals and families across Pennsylvania’s Beaver County facing substance use challenges. Nestled on State Street in Vanport Township along the Ohio River, this program empowers adults and adolescents to build long-term abstinence and personal growth. It’s adjacent to the Ohio River Waterfront and just a few blocks from both the Vanport Bridge and the Fort McIntosh Historical Marker.

DASBV accepts all insurances and often uses County funding to offset costs for the uninsured. They even have a sliding scale fee for uninsured clients ineligible for other funding. We find this dedication to providing care regardless of a person’s ability to pay truly admirable.

Another thing I find quite impressive is how they welcome everyone with open arms regardless of gender, sexual orientation and unique issues. Dedicated support may be available for individuals involved in the criminal justice system, including DUI offenders, probationers and juveniles.

Integrated & Holistic Care For Lifelong Stability

DASBV adopts an integrated care model to support whole-person healing by confronting not only substance use but also co-occurring mental health issues and related challenges. Following a detailed assessment and personalized care planning, you’ll engage in weekly therapeutic sessions to explore underlying emotional triggers, strengthen coping strategies and support long-term recovery.

Expert therapists use proven methods like cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy to promote resilience and healthy behavioral changes. I like how they integrate holistic practices like mindfulness, movement therapy and stress reduction techniques to support emotional balance and long-term recovery.

Psychiatric Evaluation and Medication Management Services

Ongoing psychiatric evaluation and medication management help stabilize mood, manage co-occurring conditions and support your overall recovery journey. The agency accommodates those seeking deeper therapeutic engagement through intensive outpatient care that offers more frequent and structured support.

Family involvement is encouraged throughout your journey to strengthen relationships for a more robust support network. Your personalized aftercare support as you move forward may include relapse prevention planning, connection to peer support groups and referrals to community resources.
