About Catholic Charities

Run by Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen, the Bridgewater Family Services Center provides thorough treatment for individuals, adolescents, and families affected by addiction. They’re located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and can provide treatment to people of any age who live in Somerset County.

They cannot work with people who have severe medical or psychiatric symptoms related to addiction. If you need a higher level of medical support or more contact hours with an addiction care team each week, they’ll connect you with other treatment centers in the area.

If you’re involved with the justice system and need court-ordered addiction care, they work closely with the Somerset IDRC to ensure all court recommendations are met.

Support at Each Stage of Your Recovery Journey

Bridgewater Family Services Center aims to be there for you at every stage of recovery. From early intervention and alcohol/drug assessments, to aftercare planning and long-term support, you’ll have support every step of the way.

The family-treatment approach also strengthens your support system from the inside out, rebuilding damaged relationships and smoothing conflicts with the guidance of experienced counselors.

Substance Use Disorder Treatment That Considers Your Family Unit

Something helpful about the way they’ve structured their addiction services is that they heavily examine the way families are involved and affected when a loved one is battling addiction. Along with family therapy, they run several support groups for everyone in your family.

You could attend a group for adult children of alcoholics, or give your child a chance to connect with youths experiencing similar struggles at the adolescents and young children group.

They have a co-dependency program to help you establish healthy boundaries with loved ones who aren’t able to maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with you. And their family education program aims to inform families of the way addiction works, the best ways to help their loved one, and how to navigate the potential difficulties of loving someone who is on a recovery journey.
