The Yolo County Mental Health Services office is located in West Sacramento, California. They provide mental health and substance use screenings, referral to appropriate treatment, and treatment for more severe disorders or co-occurring mental health and addiction. They also have a Wellness Center at this location.

The County accepts Medicaid (Medi Cal) coverage. If you have private insurance or a combination of Medicaid and Medicare, they may refer you to a community provider. This helps the clinic focus on county residents who are most in need.

Assessments and Referrals For Treatment

The County’s mental health clinic starts with a screening and triage process. This allows you to access a wide variety of treatment options through referrals, rather than needing to visit several different organizations yourself.

Depending on the results of your assessment, you’ll be referred to specific organizations. For mild to moderate mental health diagnoses, for example, they can refer you to three different organizations. They can also ensure you get help enrolling in social services such as Medi Cal, emergency housing and more.

Wellness Center Services in West Sacramento

If you are a client of the county’s behavioral health services, you also get access to the Wellness Center. They have a variety of group education sessions, activities, and services available for transition age youth, adults and older adults.

Services include skill building groups, a computer lab with internet access and multiple wellness and recovery activities. The Wellness Center is substance free, making it a great place to find support and make friends.
