About Dawn Farm Downtown

Located in the heart of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dawn Farm Downtown offers residential treatment for adults living with substance use disorder. Alongside treatment, I like that clients learn how to live independently in the cooperative home by making their own meals, doing laundry, and generally taking care of themselves.

Residential treatment for substance use disorder is tailored to each client’s needs and strengths and addresses the emotional, behavioral, and psychological impacts of addiction. Evidence based approaches include dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, treatment for co occuring disorders, and psychiatric services if needed. Additional services that set up clients for success once they leave treatment include art therapy, GED prep, employment groups, and family counseling to help improve family relationships.

I really appreciate the extensive aftercare options following a client’s discharge from the residential program. Clients are supported after their inpatient stay with a six month outpatient aftercare program to help them achieve long term sobriety. Plus, all clients have the opportunity to enroll in Dawn Farm’s transitional housing program which offers between six months and two years of recovery based housing.
