I was impressed with DAC’s location, as it’s just a few miles from Ponce de Leon’s Fountain of Youth. St. Augustine Beach and Crescent Beach are also within driving distance. Sunshine, white sand and cool ocean breezes make St. Augustine ideal for addressing your substance abuse and learning new ways of thinking.

Comprehensive Behavioral Health Services in St. Augustine

As a day program, DAC offers a variety of outpatient mental health services. They include group and individual therapy and psychosocial rehabilitation. I was excited to discover that DAC also has a summer day program. If you need short-term support, you can attend the summer program and then return to your regular activities in the fall.

Detailed Behavioral Plans

Staff members at DAC also have experience developing detailed behavior plans. Addiction and other mental health issues often make it difficult to maintain positive relationships. If you’re experiencing this type of difficulty, a counselor can create a behavior plan to help you improve your coping skills. They can refer more acute cases to facilities that have more specialized tracks.

Daisy Adams Center accepts Medicaid and private health insurance to make it easier to access counseling, group therapy and other supportive services. If you receive services through St. Augustine Group Homes, you may be able to use the Florida Medicaid Home and Community Based Services Waiver to cover the residential portion of your care.
