About Crossroads Adult Mental Health

Crossroads Adult Mental Health on Neuse Boulevard in New Bern, North Carolina is a comfortable, medically based setting where psychiatric care meets compassionate support. Located near the scenic Neuse River in the coastal region, this facility is part of CarolinaEast Health System’s broader network focused on mental health and substance abuse recovery.

Tailored Plans for Every Stage of Recovery

When you visit Crossroads, a comprehensive evaluation is the first step to check for underlying medical or biochemical issues. From there, providers collaborate with you, your family, and other providers to build a personalized plan that feels right.

If you need inpatient support, their 24 hour psychiatric hospitalization stabilizes crises and helps you gain coping skills through behavioral therapies and medication management. For those who don’t need full-time hospitalization, I appreciate that Crossroads offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP). This offering is four hours a day, Monday through Friday, and includes group and family therapy, CBT, trauma work, and coordinated aftercare.

There’s also an intensive outpatient program (IOP) designed for clients who need a bit more structure. I’m particularly struck by how Crossroads emphasizes family therapy and psychoeducation. They seem to recognize how recovery is a shared journey, not just an individual experience.

Practical, Affordable Payment Options

While Crossroads may not be a luxury rehab, its evidence based offerings and commitment to treating co-occurring issues make it a strong choice. The center accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and other major insurances, making it a lower cost entry point for many.
