In addition to onsite treatment, clients have the opportunity to go offsite for recreational treatments and programs such as self-help, community living skills, adult education and employment training. I really like that there is also a space for art therapy, music therapy, a fitness center and game and recreation rooms so clients can learn the benefits of activities that don’t involve substances.

What stands out to me about Creedmoor Psychiatric Center is that they offer all their psychiatric services in multiple languages. They have speciality services for monolingual Korean and Chinese which is culturally competent and effective. They also have a monolingual ward for Spanish clients, which includes individual translations as needed during group and individual counseling sessions. This means that all clients who attend Creedmoor Psychiatric Center can fully understand and engage in the treatment they receive.
