About Credo Community Center
THRIVE Wellness and Recovery, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that started back in 2024 through a merger between Credo Community Center for the Treatment of Addictions, Inc. and Transitional Living Services of Northern New York. The nonprofit helps individuals, families and whole communities that are struggling with drug and alcohol addictions as well as co-occurring mental health disorders. They have several levels of care such as outpatient programs, residential programs and housing programs.
Outpatient and Residential Treatment Options
Their outpatient program offers different counseling options throughout the week while still allowing you plenty of time to maintain other responsibilities outside of treatment. Their residential service is much more intensive than that. It involves a more immersive treatment environment, including specialized rehab services for youth at “The Farm.” They also offer care management, which is for anyone who wants to receive necessary resources and support for the recovery journey.
Community Based Programs
Their housing program is called THRIVE’s Community Housing and Assistance Program. It offers temporary transitional housing assistance for either families or single adults who are 18 and older.
One service that stands out to me is their Narcan training/kit distribution service. It offers training and distribution of Narcan kits to help out people who require these tools or who want to use Narcan to respond to opioid overdoses in an effective way.
I also like that the THRIVE Foundation promotes wellness through various community initiatives. They help people get involved in their community through volunteering and donations.
