About Covenant House California

Covenant House of California is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that provides mental health, social support and addiction treatment services to homeless and at-risk young people aged 18-24. It’s located near Sunset Boulevard and the historic district of downtown Hollywood.

Most services are offered free of charge, with sliding scale fees available for medical clinic services. Meanwhile, support is provided for individuals applying for Medi-Cal. Over 80% of the facility’s funding comes from the generosity of donor grants and funds.

Decades of Supporting Vulnerable Youth around Hollywood

Founded in 1988, this facility provides sanctuary and support for homeless individuals, and those at risk of homelessness. I think this facility’s experience is impressive, with its reputation still standing even after decades of care.

Individuals here can expect to access 24/7 emergency shelter and transitional housing support, as well as mental health and wraparound care. Staff members can speak Spanish and there’s spiritual care too.

A Variety of Behavioral Health & Social Services

Support At Covenant House is inclusive and extends to pregnant and parenting individuals. I think the sheer variety of dedicated support programs on offer here is impressive. You can choose from education and job-readiness support, targeted addiction treatment and prevention programming, life skills training, civil legal aid services, workforce development and medical care. Many clients tap into several of these support services at once.
