About Comprehensive Community Services

The Comprehensive Community Services residential treatment center is located in Kingsport, Tennessee. The organization is licensed and partially funded by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Their programs are also CARF accredited.

They do accept insurance which includes Tenncare. You will have the option to self pay if you are uninsured or choose not to use your insurance. Treatment will also be available if you have an approved grant.

Before being admitted into treatment, you will first need to do a screening and an assessment. The screening helps determine which level of treatment is going to be best for you. The assessment helps determine the extent of your alcohol and/or drug addiction. During this step, it will also be determined if you have a co-occurring disorder or medical issues.

I like that you’ll work together with your team to develop your treatment plan. Their staff is going to provide you with support and help in accessing resources and services.

Their structured regime for the residential program is round the clock. Although structured, you will be provided with a safe space. You’ll be able to address all the aspects of addiction such as the emotional, physical and psychological aspects.

They do use an evidence based approach to treatment. Because of this approach, you’ll develop recovery skills.

The length of time you will stay in the program is averaged at 30 days. Your length of stay will look different compared to the length of stay of your peers. It will essentially be determined by the criteria that are set in place by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM).
