About Compassion Behavioral Health
Located in Hollywood, Florida, Compassion Behavioral Health is a comprehensive addiction treatment center. Offering a variety of programs you can choose to stay in residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). They also offer virtual therapy for mental health disorders and addiction. Specialized programs are available for veterans and family members of people in treatment.
During the inpatient program, you’ll receive 24-hour medical care in a luxurious and relaxing setting. Each day will be structured with intensive therapy, recreational activities, and process groups. You’ll also participate in meditation, art therapy, and skill-building education. This therapeutic community environment can help you ignore distractions and heal your addiction.
Recommended as a step down from inpatient care, Compassion’s partial hospitalization program meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. During structured therapy sessions, you’ll explore what led you to start abusing substances and how to navigate stressful situations. Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and relapse prevention therapy are also a part of this program.
The IOP meets three to five days per week for three hours at a time. Each week your time will be divided between group and individual therapy sessions. This program generally lasts for 10 weeks but the length will ultimately depend on your individualized treatment plan.
A previous client of Compassion Behavioral Health said the treatment gave her a fighting chance to get her life back. Another person said this is a great place to work on your sobriety and mental health.
