About Community Resource and Counseling Center
Community Resource and Counseling Center (CRCC) is a fixture just outside of the Paxton, Illinois, community. They’re dedicated to supporting and treating behavioral health problems in people of all ages. It's an outpatient clinic with a number of counseling services and can include care for co-occurring substance use disorders.
One reason I think you may like this location is that they don't turn anyone away if they can't afford treatment. They have a sliding fee scale to adjust costs based on your family size and income. If you've been denied treatment in other places or are worried about cost, this can make care much more accessible.
There For You in an Emergency
Another aspect about CRCC that I like is its emergency response services. If you experience a mental health emergency during business hours, you can reach out to the office or visit in person to get immediate help.
Staff will work to connect you with appropriate services to address the problem and bring you stability when you need it most. Crises can be hard to predict, and you never know how clear headed you'll be when one strikes, so having this option in the back pocket can save you a lot of trouble when you need help the most.
Getting Help Adjusting to Big Transitions
One unique counseling subject offered by CRCC is life transition adjustment. Two separate programs, one for adults and one for adolescents, are in place to help clients deal with the changes that come with growing older.
Strengthen Your Parenting Skills
Another counseling subject I think is worth mentioning is the parenting skills counseling option. This helps parents improve their ability to care for their children.
These skills are usually incorporated into mental health and addiction counseling to some degree, but I like that there's an option where they are the sole focus. Sometimes it warrants special attention so it's easier to focus on. But for anyone in recovery and also raising a child, it's a crucial tool to help you improve your life and the life of your child.
