About Community Research Foundation

The Del Sur Crisis Center is a branch of the Community Research Foundation (CDF) based in San Diego, California. They offer a short-term, acute, inpatient program for adults 18 years and older as an alternative to hospitalization for psychiatric and dual-diagnosis substance use disorders. The Del Sur Crisis Center caters to English and Spanish-speaking individuals.

Clients are evaluated for personalized programs to meet their needs. Typically, programs include individual, milieu, and group counseling; medication management; life skills education; and integrated substance use training. Staff also assist with discharge strategy, including ongoing treatments. Clients can take advantage of the recreational and social opportunities provided.

Medi-Cal, Medi-Cal eligible, and uninsured individuals are treated. Treatment may be provided at a reduced rate. Additional medical, addiction, or mental health treatment to which clients are referred may be covered in full or in part by major health insurers, such as Aetna, Ambetter, Kaiser Permanente, Magellan Health, Bright Health, Cigna, and Amerigroup.
