About Community Rehabilitiation Center

Founded in 1993, Community Rehabilitation Center offers outpatient behavioral health services for people in Jacksonville, Florida. These services help treat individuals with mental illness, addiction, or other psychiatric issues. Counseling is available for individuals, groups, and families.

Community Rehab Center also functions as a drop-in center for people in the community with mental illness who need social interaction and community support. Staff is always available to help or assist in accessing resources. One team member said, “Every person has different needs. That is why the staff at CRC create a custom treatment plan for every individual we serve.”

Treatment Focused on Results

Community Rehab Center offers a family-focused environment that will teach you to respect others and yourself. There’s a full kitchen and multipurpose rooms. Through individual and group therapy, you’ll build your self-worth and thrive in your treatment program. Groups that address substance abuse generally have six to eight people at a time navigating recovery.

I like that you’ll express your thoughts and feelings, support others, and learn healthy coping skills to use during hard times. You’ll have the opportunity to work on communication skills and relapse prevention tools that will help you navigate sobriety.

Part of Your Community

This facility offers more than just substance abuse support and counseling services. They have an emergency food pantry where community members can access food items they need. They also offer HIV testing and counseling with referrals for medication and other support services.

For youths, I saw that Community Rehab Center focuses on troubled and justice-involved kids and helping them change course toward positive outcomes. While attending counseling here, you and your family members may engage in cognitive behavioral therapy and targeted case management. Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum and Main Street Park are within visiting distance to unwind between sessions.

They accept most private insurance plans and Medicaid and Medicare.

Each alcohol rehab in Florida offers unique amenities and approaches, but most follow the same general guidelines. Treatment includes detox, rehabilitation, and maintenance. This is a proven approach to provide the greatest results for long-term recovery.

Men's Rehab

Gender-specific addiction treatment gives men who are struggling with substance use disorders a connection point to other men with similar struggles. This common ground can make a huge impact on men’s rehab in Florida.

Women's Rehab

Often, women who have a substance use disorder also have a co-occurring disorder. Women’s rehab in Florida often addresses both the addiction and mental health disorder with dual diagnosis treatment.

Therapists use rational emotive behavioral therapy in Florida to help individuals evaluate their irrational beliefs surrounding their substance use behaviors. This therapy helps participants change patterns of thinking and behavior to overcome addiction.

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an integrative, community-based care strategy designed to address the needs of persons with severe and/or complex mental illness or behavioral disorders. ACT is typically provided by a multidisciplinary team of medical and mental health care providers, social workers, therapists, and other specialists, including addiction recovery professionals. These services are frequently provided in the home and community to clients in crisis, those who are clinically unstable, and those who are unable or unwilling to travel to a hospital or clinic for in-person treatment.
