About Crozer Health Community Campus

Crozer Health Community Campus in Chester, Pennsylvania, provided mental health services, including addiction treatment for residents of Delaware County. The center was part of Crozer Health System, which closed most operations in April 2025 due to financial reasons.

Comprehensive Mental Health Services

Originally located in the Community Hospital, mental health services were moved in 2019 to a location right across the street. In my experience, it may be easier to stay motivated in recovery when it’s convenient to access care.

The move allowed patients to receive not only mental healthcare in a dedicated location, but they also had access to a full range of medical care without needing to travel to different medical offices around town.

Award Winning Addiction Treatment

What stood out to me about this facility is that they were recognized as a premium behavioral health services provider. They operated one of the “first opioid treatment centers of excellence in Pennsylvania” and served more than 1000 patients within the first six months the center was open.

Inpatient treatment services included medically supervised detox, something not all treatment centers offer. The detox program meant patients could detox first and then move seamlessly into a formal addiction recovery program.

Patients paid for treatment using insurance or flexible payment plans, including sliding scale fees. Even though Crozer Health Community Campus is now closed for mental healthcare services, I’m thankful staff was able to help patients find alternate resources.
