About Comanche County Memorial Hospital
Comanche County Memorial Hospital is a nonprofit acute care facility in Lawton, Oklahoma, that provides hospital based medical detox and withdrawal management through its New Vision program. The service offers medically supervised stabilization for adults age 18 years and older who are withdrawing from opioids, alcohol, methamphetamine, benzodiazepines and other substances.
New Vision delivers confidential care with 24 hour clinical monitoring, treating each individual with the same privacy and respect as any other hospital admission.
Medically Supervised Withdrawal Management in Lawton
New Vision at Comanche County Memorial Hospital focuses on short term inpatient medical detox, with most stays lasting 3 to 5 days. During this time, patients receive continuous monitoring by physicians and nurses who are experienced in recognizing and managing withdrawal symptoms. Medication support may be provided to reduce discomfort, stabilize vital signs and promote safety throughout the process.
Before admission, each patient completes a comprehensive pre screening to determine medical appropriateness for the program. Once stabilized, individuals participate in discharge planning that outlines next steps for continued treatment or connection to community resources. Because the program operates within a hospital environment, patients have access to medical infrastructure that can address complex or high risk withdrawal situations. Clinical oversight is paired with compassionate support to help individuals move through stabilization with dignity.
