About Coastal Horizons Center Inc

The Pender branch of Coastal Horizons in North Carolina specializes in Recidivism Reduction and Reentry Services, delivered in an outpatient setting. I see that these services are aimed at preventing criminals from reoffending through cognitive behavioral interventions and community-based substance use services. These include general and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs alongside aftercare.

The Three Rs in Coastal Horizons

For clients to be eligible for Recidivism Reduction Services they need to be over the age of 18, under the supervision of the NC Department of Public Safety, and deemed to be high risk and high need.

The Reentry Services of Coastal Horizons provides extensive behavioral health treatment for those transitioning from incarceration to New Hanover County. To assist people overcoming barriers to successful reintegration back into the community, Reentry Services connect clients with peer support specialists, case managers, and community health workers.

I like that clients are supported in finding employment, education opportunities, housing, and even transportation. Eligibility to enroll in the Reentry Program is determined before the release.

Other outpatient substance use services, such as TASC services, may be available at this location. To find out the full range of services, contact Coastal Horizons Pender via phone or email.
