About Clovis Counseling Center

Clovis Counseling Center is in a small corner of suburban Clovis, New Mexico. It’s a private counseling group with mental health and addiction services. They work with anyone regardless of age. Services are provided through a general outpatient program.

Counseling at this location is flexible, allowing you to determine the frequency of sessions. Each session is typically 45 minutes long, though longer sessions are available. Clovis Counseling Center accepts many insurance plans, and what type of insurance you have may determine the length of your sessions. Counseling is available for individuals as well as couples and families. This location doesn't offer group therapy.

When you choose therapy for treating substance use, what you're really choosing is empowerment. Talk therapy like what you'll find at Clovis Counseling Center is akin to a guided conversation between you and your counselor. Their office is a safe and confidential place where you can talk about anything. Your counselor will listen and help identify the elements connected to addiction, including past traumas. Through recurring sessions, you'll dive deeper into the nature of your addictive behaviors and learn different strategies for changing them and improving your life. Family and couples options are available to include others in your recovery program.

There are some additional specialties that go along with addiction care. There’s a special track for Department of Transportation professionals who may be required to undergo drug screenings. They can also help out with adoption services for prospective parents who may still be impacted by substance use.

This location also offers eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), a therapeutic method used in conjunction with talk therapy for overcoming trauma. You may find it a helpful addition to your treatment, especially if you've been in a program before and felt past treatment wasn't effective.
