About Clinton Counseling Center

Clinton Counseling Center in Mount Clemens, Michigan, is a private, nonprofit CARF accredited facility for outpatient counseling and treatment services. Having been in service since 1984 they have ample experience supporting clients of all ages with mental health issues and substance abuse. They are contracted with MCCMH to provide treatment to individuals who are severely, persistently mentally ill (SPMI). They also offer treatment based on a sliding fee scale to residents of Macomb County who qualify for these discounts.

Their outpatient addiction treatment program can support those with a dependency on alcohol or other drugs. They offer a standard outpatient program and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). One of the main differentiators between these two is their additional focus on family therapy in the standard program.

Beyond individual and group therapy in both levels of care, clients may also undergo a psychiatric evaluation with medication management. To be eligible for the evaluation and continue medication management you must be actively attending counseling at their center. If you feel you no longer need counseling their staff can refer you to other facilities where you can continue your medication management.

Dual diagnosis treatment is also available for clients struggling with both an addiction and mental health disorders. This allows support to be integrated to ensure all of your needs are addressed.

The center also provides substance abuse evaluations for driver’s license restoration. This is ideal for anyone with a DUI/DWI and typically involves psychiatric evaluation and medication management along with regular therapy sessions. Their services meet the requirements for the state of Michigan DLAD.

Previous clients have reported that the staff here is great. They mention that the staff provide professional, discrete services and helpful insights to help you get back on track.
