About Clifton Community Behavioral Health Center
Clifton Community Behavioral Health Center is a SERV Centers of New Jersey program providing behavioral and physical healthcare for youth and adults in Passaic County and surrounding areas.
The center offers outpatient substance use treatment, mental health services and co-occurring care using approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and relapse prevention.
With an emphasis on recovery goals, resilience and community integration, the team delivers whole person care rather than treating addiction in isolation.
Outpatient Addiction Recovery
Substance use treatment here is offered at two levels: an intensive outpatient program and standard outpatient groups.
The center also provides outpatient medical withdrawal management from opioids, giving individuals medical support and nursing oversight without committing to inpatient care.
I want to note that Medication to Support Recovery options include Suboxone, Subutex, Belbuca, Sublocade and Vivitrol.
Sessions may combine therapy alongside substance use counseling, trauma related support and relapse prevention skills.
A strong peer recovery component connects clients with peer support workers who can follow them throughout recovery and assist with sober living case management.
Comprehensive assessments, urine screening, naloxone education and aftercare planning round out the care.
Structured Support for Teens and Adults
The center serves both youth and adults, with a dedicated adolescent outpatient schedule designed to fit around school commitments.
Psychiatry services are available for individuals age 16 and older and adult partial care supports severe mental health diagnoses.
I appreciate that a diverse clinical team offers bilingual care and translation services in many languages.
Access and Next Steps
Located at 777 Bloomfield Avenue in Clifton, the center offers in person and telehealth services, is wheelchair accessible and is reachable via NJ TRANSIT.
The facility accepts commercial insurance, Medicaid and Medicare, with financial assistance available for those who qualify.
