About Cityteam Portland

CityTeam Portland provides faith-based residential recovery in Portland, Oregon for people whose substance use is intertwined with homelessness and poverty.

The program combines immediate aid like meals, shelter and hygiene support with longer-term, gender-specific recovery pathways for men, women and women with children.

CityTeam's mission is to walk alongside community members on their journey from crisis to lasting stability, restoration and hope.

Faith-Based Residential Addiction Recovery

I noticed that CityTeam Portland's core offering is long-term residential recovery rooted in a Christian foundation and the 12-step model.

The Renew program provides men a year of structured recovery while Community of Hope offers single women and women with children a 6 to 12-month home-based recovery setting.

Programming includes 12-step meetings, recovery-based classes, Bible-centered spiritual support and one-on-one mentoring.

Participants work through the root causes of addiction while building stability with extended housing support available for up to two years after graduation.

Pathways to Housing and Employment

Beyond sobriety, I noted that CityTeam Portland focuses on whole-life restoration through career counseling, vocational training and education and job-skills support.

Case management and community involvement help participants move toward stable housing and meaningful employment.

The women's program also assists participants in accessing needed medical and mental health care.
