About Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems Kennett Square

Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems is an outpatient clinic for adults and adolescents with substance use disorders and other mental health conditions. You’ll find ‘em located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Conveniently located on Route One in Southeastern Pennsylvania, it’s easily accessible from many nearby towns and Delaware.

Here, you’ll find intensive and traditional outpatient programs with tracks in mental health or substance abuse. They’ll connect you to group homes and respite care for people with developmental disabilities or mental illness. Prevention and education programs are given out in the community.

The outpatient programs include a comprehensive evaluation, psychiatric evaluation, psychotherapy, and medication management. You’ll engage in individual, group, and family therapy. The traditional outpatient program at Holcomb offers weekly therapy. The intensive outpatient program includes nine hours of group and individual counseling sessions per week. If you’re struggling with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders, a specialty group is available. One group is conducted in Spanish for individuals who speak Spanish.

Holcomb stands out because it offers intensive behavioral health services for behavior management at schools or recreational venues. These services are flexible and provided within the community. Mobile therapy is also offered by the Holcomb Interagency Service Planning Team to help children and families within the Chester County community.

Substance abuse forensic assessments are available at this location and may be utilized in court hearings or with attorneys. These assessments are often requested through the juvenile detention system.

You can expect the programming at Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems to include supportive case management, employment assistance, and in-home life skill support.

One thing that I like about this facility is its outpatient setting in Kennett Square offers early morning and evening hours to accommodate work and school schedules.

A person who attended treatment groups at Holcomb in Kennett Square for two months said the programming is excellent. Some previous clients said that there were hiccups with scheduling and getting their medications.
