Formerly Chilton-Shelby Mental Health, the Central Alabama Wellness’s J. Michael Horsley Group Home is located on 2nd Street in Calera, Alabama. It resides in the rural community of Calera, close to I-65 and off of US Highway 31. I saw that Oliver Park isn’t too far off. They provide a safe environment to undergo behavioral health services and treatment for substance abuse disorders and mental health issues you may be experiencing co-currently.

Assessments and Referrals for Acute Care

When you arrive at the Horsley Home, the staff will quickly assess your immediate conditions and symptoms you may be experiencing. They provide you with referrals for acute care treatment if you are in need of supervised care for stabilization, to get to the next step following detoxification.

They continue your care via outpatient services with therapy and counseling services that are available to you onsite.

Outpatient Counseling for 50+ Years

While continuing treatment, Central Alabama can also provide outside referrals for additional care and services. They will provide you with access to preventative educational programs, vocational and job training resources and additional care for behavioral health services. They can also assist in securing access to housing or residential treatment programs.

Wellness has provided services for over 50 years with their original flagship location in Calera. They look at your journey to substance free life as a process of changing your lifestyle.
