About Central Alabama Wellness

Central Alabama Wellness, formerly Chilton Shelby Mental Health, is a private treatment center in Pelham, Alabama, about 30 minutes south of Birmingham. They offer alcohol and drug rehab as well as dual diagnosis care for adolescents and adults. So, if you’re struggling with substance use alongside another disorder like depression, anxiety or post traumatic stress, they can help you with both issues simultaneously.

Over 50 Years of Affordable Service

The organization has had a few different names since its inception in 1972, but its core principles have remained the same. They’re dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and person centered support to all in need.

Thanks to funding from Medicaid and state grants, as well as donations, they’re able to make treatment more affordable for people who don’t have insurance and can’t afford standard rates. I think that’s fantastic, since you shouldn’t have to stress about money while working on your recovery.
