Caring for the Whole Person

The approach used by staff in this program looks at the whole person’s well being, not just their immediate diagnosis. That means the goal is more than treating drug and alcohol misuse, but to improve each individual’s physical, emotional, and social health.

Building Skills in Unique Ways

The foundation of substance abuse recovery is building new coping and life skills to reduce symptoms and move forward. Traditionally, this skill building takes place as part of counseling sessions and workshops.

Here, however, every area of life is shown to be an opportunity to advance on the recovery track. Social events and recreational activities are just as valuable for teaching new coping skills as a therapy session, and for young clients, it may be more engaging, too.
