About Challenge Behavioral Healthcare

Challenge Behavioral Healthcare is an outpatient facility that provides comprehensive support for substance use disorder (SUD) while also caring for co occurring disorders for adults ages 18 and up in Hinsdale, Illinois. This facility provides graduated SUD treatment that ensures your addiction support is covered as you achieve sobriety. There is also a special focus provided for adults in demanding professional careers.

Challenge Behavioral Healthcare is located in the heart of Hinsdale and is near several therapeutic natural outlets around town. Burlington Park and Robbins Park are both within walking distance of the facility and are fantastic green spaces. Or, you can visit the historic downtown Hinsdale district with plentiful shops, cafes, and relaxing spaces.

Graduated Outpatient Support

A key feature I noticed at CBH is that you can receive graduated support to meet your needs and addiction level. In particular, there are three solutions that are offered here. The partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a slightly less structured format than an inpatient program but perfect for people just beginning their sobriety journey. Their next step down is an intensive outpatient program followed by traditional outpatient therapy.

As you progress through your recovery, you’ll need less and less support because you’ll become stronger in your sobriety and will need to develop more independence in using your new coping skills. These graduated levels of support allow CBH to give you the right level of care at each stage of recovery.

A Holistic Approach

I value that CBH doesn’t just focus on addiction but wants to treat the whole person. This means there’s an emphasis on centering a person’s mental, physical, and emotional health. Additionally, aftercare is prioritized here with case managers who will help you to connect with community referrals to help you maintain your sobriety. Likewise relapse prevention planning is a central focus.

CBH accepts a variety of insurance plans and self payment. Patient advocates can help you determine insurance coverage and payment plans.
