Hinds Behavioral Health Services is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic in Jackson, Mississippi. They provide comprehensive substance use and mental health treatment for adults and adolescents, along with peer support, housing resources, and employment support.
Bridge Drop in Center
The Bridge Drop-In Center serves adults who are homeless and have mental illness or substance use concerns. The Center provides showers, food, employment services, peer support, individual therapy, support groups, and referrals to social services, including housing.
Mississippi State University – GAIN program

Mississippi State University’s G.A.I.N. (Goal-Driven Alcohol/Drug Intervention Network) Program is an evidence-based program that educates students about substance use. In two sessions, students will do a substance use assessment, learn to calculate blood-alcohol content (BAC), and learn how expensive substance misuse can be. GAIN also addresses how to address triggers and make responsible choices using healthy coping strategies. The training is delivered in a non-judgmental environment to generate sincere conversations.

The Mississippi State University Office for Student Well-Being offers support for students struggling with substance misuse. They have substance use screening, outreach, and a Bulldogs in Recovery program. Bulldogs in Recovery is a Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) that offers peer support, weekly seminars, a monthly Recovery Night, community meals, and sober events.

PFLAG Jackson is a local chapter of PFLAG, the nation’s largest organization dedicated to advocating for and supporting LGBTQ+ people and their families. The Support Hotlines page offers a variety of 24/7 support hotlines for crisis intervention, suicide prevention, youth services, substance abuse, and specialized support for transgender individuals. Some hotlines are available in both English and Spanish.

Choctaw Health Center is a medical facility that serves the Choctaw tribal population. The main 180,000-square-foot facility and three rural clinics deliver medical care, behavioral health services, emergency treatment, and more in a way that respects cultural traditions and fosters diversity. Behavioral health treatment includes helping individuals meet challenging life events with healthy coping mechanisms and providing culturally appropriate mental health and addiction treatment.
