The Center of Renewed Promises – Closed

The Center of Renewed Promises is a now-defunct non-profit, accredited drug rehab that used to serve teens and adults, including pregnant and postpartum individuals, and the LGBTQ+ community. They're based in Newnan, Georgia. It was located near the Whitlock Park Soccer Complex and White Oak Creek. However, the center has since closed.

As for payment, they accepted cash and self-pay.

Drug Detox & Outpatient Addiction Treatment Services

You would have once been able to access outpatient detox services, which can be an ideal option for individuals looking to get sober and clean while on a flexible schedule. It’s also much safer to detox under supervision and with the support of professionals.

Detox was medically assisted, using FDA-approved naltrexone, buprenorphine, and methadone. I saw that medication-assisted treatment (MAT) was also available, with clients able to access methadone maintenance and detox services.

As part of MAT, behavioral therapy and counseling were also provided, with clients engaging in specialized substance use counseling, motivational interviewing (MI), 12-step facilitation, as well as contingency management and motivational incentives. Relapse prevention planning was also provided.

Educational Services, Social Support & Ongoing Care

Educational services were provided centering around addiction, HIV and AIDS, as well as hepatitis and other related health conditions. Vocational training and support picking education back up following recovery were also offered.

While smoking and vaping were allowed onsite without restriction, cessation counseling was featured to encourage clients to quit.

I'm impressed that former clients had largely positive feedback that highlighted the effectiveness of the treatment programs and the supportiveness of the center’s staff. Many appreciated the thoroughness of the care provided, reflecting on the positive environment fostered.
