Addiction and Mental Health Treatment in Rural Northeastern Colorado

Substance use treatment services are available for clients 18 and older. I found that treatment includes assessments, therapy, case management, and medication management. Clients receive addiction education as well as strategies for change, improvement, and relapse prevention. Women will appreciate the specialized women’s treatment program.

I was struck by the alternative therapies available. They offer Acudetox which is acupuncture performed on the ear. This helps clients with behavioral health and substance use disorders. Additionally, they have animal assisted therapy and activities. Conveniently, mental health clients may have the option of using Telehealth for therapy appointments which allows you to have a therapy session from the comfort of your own home.

Additional supportive services include an affordable housing program. Assistance is given through a voucher program which gives rental assistance to eligible clients. The voucher subsidizes the monthly rent and utilities.
