About Cenikor Foundation

Cenikor is an addiction treatment center with a facility in Waco, Texas. Here, they offer a full continuum of integrated care including detox, residential and outpatient treatment. The organization is CARF-accredited and LegitScript certified. They have also received the gold level status from Goldstar.

Adults are able to receive detox and residential treatment. Insurance is accepted. Since they are a non-profit organization, they may be able to help you pay any deductibles and copays as long as certain criteria are met. If you do not have insurance, they are able to offer you a payment plan.

The facility has 55 beds. You are going to be in an environment that is safe and structured. What stands out about the facility is that many of their team are in recovery themselves.

Upon admission, if you are showing signs of acute withdrawal symptoms or are at risk then you will start treatment in the detox unit. They typically have same-day admissions. I like that you will have medical care around the clock. Your medical care will be supervised by a licensed medical director.

Once detox is complete, you will transfer to the residential program. During this time you will meet with your counselor and have your individualized treatment plan tailored. You will begin 12-step groups and learn life skills that are valuable. With group therapy, you will also be able to build relationships with your peers.

When you complete your residential treatment, their outpatient partial hospitalization program (PHP) will be ideal. You will attend process groups, counseling and receive education during the day and return home at night. You attend treatment five days per week for six hours per day.

What stood out to me about the facility is their aftercare program. They offer this program complimentary for two years. You will have periodic check-ins and one-on-one time with recovery coaches.
