About Cenikor Foundation

Project AIM

One of their most impressive programs here is their community awareness, intervention, and mobilization program (Project AIM) for adults which is free. Substance use counseling and case management are individualized for each client. You will develop an understanding of your addiction and the underlying factors behind your addiction. You will learn coping skills and how to be resilient.

I have found that wellness education teaches you how to combat the negative effects substances have had on your body. They can refer you to a local facility as well if you need more intensive services like residential rehab.

Medication Assisted Treatment

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) uses FDA approved medications for those who are addicted to alcohol or opioids. The medications reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings so you can avoid a relapse while you get therapy to help you recover in the long term. They do a same day intake which must be in person, after which you can attend your appointments virtually.

Unlike many treatment centers they have evening and weekend appointments available for your convenience. Individual counseling is included in your fee too. If you are a resident of Harris County, McLennan County, or San Marcos you may be eligible to receive financial assistance through a scholarship.

Substance Free Activities for Youth

The youth recovery community program is free for youth ages 13 to 21. Youth are taught how to have fun doing sober activities on site or during outings. The community center is a safe sober place for youth to socialize, play games, and study.

Youth can receive help with academics or vocational needs. We appreciate that community service projects teach them how to be responsible and think of others. Families of the youth participate in the recovery process too and are part of creating a wellness plan.
