About Family and Adult Counseling Services – Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan Monroe

Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan is also known as CCSEM. They have an outpatient office in Monroe, Michigan. They extend mental health and substance abuse recovery services to adults and families in the community. This is one of 16 CCSEM locations in the state.

Although their mission and values are inspired by the Catholic faith, all are welcome to receive care at this office. CCSEM collaborates with a number of groups to ensure everyone seeking care gets much needed support.

The Bridge Between You and Recovery

This office provides counseling for those impacted by substance use. But if you need additional care, they're more than ready to lend a helping hand.

CCSEM serves as a referral point for a number of programs, including different levels of care and crisis services. I think this is an invaluable asset for anyone: even if you don't think you need additional care when you first enter counseling, things can always change. Having the connection right there can make getting in touch with those services faster and easier.

Find Peer Support Through CCSEM

Among these referral services are those that connect you with area support groups. Peer support gives you the chance to learn from others who are living in recovery and to share your own experiences with those seeking assistance. You might even be able to meet up at community spaces like Arbor Lorain Park or the Monroe Moose Lodge.

CCSEM can also get you in touch with a recovery coach if you're looking for a more one on one experience. In either case, these referrals can play a role in keeping you connected socially while you recover, allowing you to build supportive relationships.

Clinical Care for Women in Need

The Women's Specialty Outreach Program may be of interest if you're pregnant or have recently given birth. The program gives you the resources and support needed to start living a sober life so you and your child can live happy, healthy lives.

This program also extends support to any caregiver of children. One thing I find admirable is that they treat parents at risk of losing custody with priority. When you feel like you're at the end of your rope, CCSEM can be your lifeline.
