About Career and Recovery Resources

Career & Recovery Resources has three locations in Texas. One site is in Houston. They break barriers for folks dealing with unemployment, substance abuse, and housing instability. They work with youth, veterans, in the criminal justice system and people with disabilities. They give trauma-informed care that welcomes all genders.

Their outpatient substance use program is run by licensed counselors. It focuses on the individual needs of each client. They address your housing, family and work needs as well as helping you recover from addiction. You’ll take part in group and individual counseling sessions. During these, you’ll get guidance and learn life skills to make real, long-lasting positive changes in your life.

Career & Recovery Resources offers free ongoing peer support. The team will also give referrals to other services you might need. Their case management helps you with housing and employment. Many former clients were happy with the level of support and professionalism they received. Some clients who didn’t agree felt that this clinic dropped the ball on their care.
