About California Hispanic Commission El Monte
California Hispanic Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (CHCADA) is a substance abuse treatment facility based out of El Monte, California. CHCADA provides recovery services to low income Latino clients of all ages, as well as those from other marginalized backgrounds. They operate several inpatient residences throughout the area based on age and gender. Their services include inpatient residential treatment, medically monitored detox, outpatient treatment, therapy (in individual, group, and family settings), vocational support programs, family services, substance abuse education groups, 12 step programs, and transitional living homes.
CHCADA specializes in providing its services in bilingual, culturally informed ways. They recognize that clients from marginalized backgrounds face a large number of barriers to treatment. Culturally aware bilingual services eliminate some of the most challenging obstacles and encourage clients to seek treatment. CHCADA has over 100 beds available for its own inpatient residential treatment programs. They also offer homeless support programs.
