They’re located in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood, nine miles south of downtown Chicago, with easy access to patients from Oak Lawn, Evergreen Park and Chicago Ridge.

They target the underserved and vulnerable population including the homeless and folks from the inner cities of this Southside Chicago neighborhood. This primarily includes African Americans who are dual or triple-diagnosed but lack resources for quality care. The facility offers a safe and supportive environment where clients build self-esteem alongside practical skills that support healthy living in the community.

One thing I find appealing about the facility is the sense of friendship, companionship and comfort among residents and staff. They can accommodate 40 residents at any given time. Accommodation is available for 40 residents at any given time. Residents are provided lunch as well as transportation support for medical appointments. They attend self-meetings of AA/NA and benefit from expert mentoring and social education, pastoral care and counseling. A comprehensive intake assessment and treatment planning ensures tailored recovery.
