About Brians Safehouse

Brian's Safehouse is a Christ-focused recovery home in Mount Hope, West Virginia. They help men break free from substance abuse in a four-phased recovery program rooted in spiritual practices. This program champions complete healing and restoration through improved personal relationships with God.

Residents benefit from a safe and supportive environment where love and kindness reign supreme. In this space, they are guided to work through their struggles with substance use and the chaos that comes with it. Brian's Safehouse is non-discriminatory. The facility accommodates unbelievers and those from other religions. The most important qualifying criterion is having a genuine commitment to healing.

A Residential Recovery Setting Just for You

The facility is fully equipped with modern amenities that enhance convenience. This includes a comfortable living space, a walking track and a basketball court. There’s also an exercise room, recreation centers and a social room for family visits as well as a children’s playground.

Mount Hope is a small, quiet and rural town in Fayette County. I noticed the area offers a peaceful environment surrounded by rolling hills and forests. Nearby natural features like Plum Orchard Lake and New River Gorge National Park contribute to its charm. It’s also readily accessible with a direct link to nearby Oak Hill and Beckley via I-64 and US Route 19, respectively.

Building a Strong Recovery Foundation in Christ

Brian's Safehouse is focused on helping those whose lives have been severely impacted by substance use issues achieve freedom through God’s teaching. You’ll benefit from a uniquely crafted curriculum that’ll not only help you overcome addiction but build the character that supports productive living in the community. You’ll be guided by staff who are equipped with the life experience and education needed to support you through the recovery process.

You’ll benefit from the support of peers who’ll provide encouragement as well. The program involves participation in 12 Step AA/NA meetings in the community to build or strengthen your support network. You’ll also attend Bible studies/devotions, spiritual counseling and prayer sessions while onsite. This helps deepen your faith and strengthen your relationship with God. The program also includes life skill training and vocational education that prepares you to reenter the workforce upon graduation.

I appreciate that the facility also offers a transition home. Here, graduates can continue building independence while staying connected to a supportive recovery community.
