About Bonfire Behavioral Health
Bonfire Behavioral Health in Rochester, New Hampshire, provides full service addiction recovery treatments. It’s in a secluded corner off the 202. They have residential, medication assisted treatment (MAT), partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive (IOP) and outpatient addiction treatment programs. They also have specific men and women’s recovery programs.
During your intake assessment, a clinician will get your medical, mental health and personal history. They’ll recommend a treatment program suited for your needs based on the severity of your addiction.
In addition to individual, family and group therapy, they offer a trauma therapy program. This helps clients address and heal the trauma that led to or occurred during addiction. Another unique feature is forgiveness therapy. You’ll work towards forgiving the people you’re angry at and let go of bitterness so you can move forward into the future.
Bonfire offers different types of therapies including cognitive (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), 12 Step therapy, and forgiveness therapy. Forgiveness therapy means letting go of the past and forgiving those who have hurt you. It’s not easy, but it can lead to self-healing and balance. Their relapse prevention therapy helps you build the tools you need to manage your stress and cravings in the real world.
Another perk is Bonfire’s care coordination. They’ll coordinate with any legal, spiritual or vocational resources you need for your best shot at recovery. If exercise and outdoor recreation is called for, the Cocheco River and surrounding hiking trails aren’t too far away.
They also help with financial stressors. They’ll work with you to fill out paperwork to enroll in Medicare or Medicaid, apply for financial aid to go to school, and more.
MAT is available in multiple levels of care including outpatient treatment. Bonfire prescribes FDA-approved medication including Suboxone and Vivitrol. They monitor your use of these medications to make sure you don’t misuse them or have any bad reactions. As part of MAT, you’ll also get clinical and holistic therapy options to help you get to the root of your abuse drugs or alcohol dependency.
