About Boardwalk Recovery Center

Boardwalk Recovery Center offers an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that provides alcohol, opioid, and drug rehab services for adults. Clients also receive treatment for co-occurring addictions and mental health disorders. They're based in San Diego, California.

Therapy modalities may include individual and group counseling, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and guided imagery. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Pacific Beach, clients benefit from ecopsychology (outdoor group therapy and mindfulness meditation) and breath work. The center facilitates 12 Step meetings and offers mixed martial arts (MMA) as therapy.

Boardwalk Recovery Center works with most major health insurance companies, such as Amerigroup, United Healthcare, Ambetter, Cigna, ComPsych, Wellmark, HCSC, Humana, and Beacon. Partial funding may be available for those without insurance or insufficient coverage. Check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage and out of network benefits.
