About Black Bear Lodge

Clients at Black Bear Lodge can receive treatment for both addiction and mental health conditions. Their program is made to help people with their emotional, physical, spiritual and mental needs. Their lectures are coed, but I like that the process groups are divided by gender. They also run a LBGTQ diversity group.

Black Bear Lodge is nestled in the foothills of Mt. Yonah is surrounded by beautiful walks and hikes. Bedrooms are cozy and comfortable with timber walls and shared with just one other person.

At Black Bear Lodge, they use motivational interviewing to have clients be engaged in the process. Each person has a custom treatment plan and moves through stages of change at their own pace. I like that they don't have a predetermined treatment length but instead base it on the needs of each individual.

The focus at Black Bear Lodge is on life skill development, relapse prevention, communication and coping skills and family therapy. They also offer various holistic and experiential options including yoga, zip lining, and art therapy..

They offer a comprehensive family therapy program. In this program, each family member will learn how to heal without shame or blame and learn how to communicate in healthy ways. Families learn how to identify unhealthy behaviors and have the tools they need to create healthy boundaries. This 4-week program rotates through topics such as the way addiction works, codependency, aftercare and support system self care.

They’re in network with many insurance providers and their admissions staff can work with your insurance provider on your behalf.
