Crisis Assessment and Intervention for Minnesotans

To be admitted at Birch Tree Center you'll need a completed crisis assessment. This can be performed by an emergency room doctor, a licensed clinician or a mobile crisis staff member.

Once you're admitted they will quickly work to manage your symptoms and prevent relapse. This may include administering medications and managing and monitoring medications. They also provide psychiatric medication management.

At Birch Tree Center, you'll be well cared for by their team of licensed therapists, psychiatric practitioners, and advanced practice registered nurses. You will work with one of these practitioners every day. You'll join groups to learn about symptom management, coping strategies and stress relief. These highly trained professionals will help you develop a personalized plan for your health and well-being. They'll work with you to reduce emotional pain, understand your inner strengths, get medical treatment and develop tools to help you cope.

You'll have access to 24-Hour nursing care and aftercare planning. They can give you referrals for additional treatment after you've been discharged.

I like that they connect with any other providers or organizations that are involved in your care. They'll connect with your family or other support people to help you transition back to the community as soon as possible.
