About Brooks Respite and Recovery Center

Brooks Respite and Recovery Center is part of BestCare, and they have several locations that offer different treatment modalities for substance use and co-occurring disorders. The center on 4th Street in a semi-suburban district of Redmond, Oregon, is a short term crisis stabilization center that serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization.

The facility accepts most major insurance providers as well as Oregon Health Plan. They also offer a sliding fee payment schedule.

While in this short term program, the team stabilizes clients in acute psychiatric crises. Staff works to identify goals and develop a plan for community support and recovery after discharge. Most clients come to the program through referral from an emergency room, therapist, physician, or a community crisis team.

The team welcomes a diverse clientele from all stages of life. They also offer services for Spanish speaking clients, clients in need of pain management, and people in the corrections system. Many of the staff have experienced addiction, so they have a lot of insight into what works to overcome addiction and manage mental health issues.

The staff uses evidence based treatment, including individual and group counseling. They also emphasize motivational interviewing (MI), which is a form of therapy designed to help you find the change within you.
